Teignbridge recently supplied to Guayaquil, Ecuador two 22.5m monohull crewboats featuring modern styling combined with a robust and simple-to-build structure. Propulsion is provided by two Cummins QSK19 marine engines rated at 750 bhp at 1,800 rpm driving a pair of Teignbridge 38” x 5 blade high-performance C – Foil fixed-pitch NiBrAl propellers. Independent assessments at both Plymouth and Newcastle Universities showed the C-Foil produced up to 5% more thrust and efficiency when compared to standard propeller design. Teignbridge is proud to be providing their highly efficient sterngear equipment to these innovative vessels, including shaftlines in stainless steel Temet 25, which is a high strength duplex stainless steel alloy with excellent crevice corrosion resistance.
